Publishing with The Novel Fox DISCOVERIES

The Novel Fox DISCOVERIES is seeking talented authors who desire a publisher that will aggressively market their previously traditionally or self-published novels. The Novel Fox DISCOVERIES is currently considering previously published novels targeted at young adults through adults in the following genres: fantasy, military/espionage, science fiction, action/adventure, and thrillers/suspense.

For novels published under The Novel Fox DISCOVERIES, advances and royalties are determined on a case-by-case basis, depending upon various factors including previous publishing history, with royalties based on a percentage of The Novel Fox’s gross receipts and paid quarterly one month in arrears. The Novel Fox requires an exclusive license, the scope and terms of which will vary.

Please note that, in certain circumstances, The Novel Fox DISCOVERIES makes offers to publish previously published novels that are contingent upon the production of a new edition of the work. In connection with such offers, The Novel Fox engages in a thorough discussion with the author regarding the new edition prior to entering into any agreement to publish the work under the DISCOVERIES imprint.

Submitting to The Novel Fox DISCOVERIES

The Novel Fox DISCOVERIES only accepts submissions by electronic mail, directed to submissions@thenovelfox.com. The Novel Fox DISCOVERIES does not accept hard copy submissions.

For submissions to The Novel Fox DISCOVERIES, the subject of the email should include “DISCOVERIES SUBMISSION:” followed by the novel’s title. The body of the email should provide a brief introduction, the author’s name and contact information (and, if represented by an agent, the agent’s name and contact information), a one to two sentence synopsis of the novel, the genre, the word count of the full manuscript, and any questions for The Novel Fox. Additionally, the email should thoroughly describe the novel’s publication history, including dates previously published, the identity of the publisher(s), how long the novel was available from each publisher, and the approximate number of copies sold with each publisher. Finally, the email should include the following, attached as either one or two PDF or word document attachments: (i) a walkthrough of the novel’s plot that is no longer than 3 pages in length and specifically describes the events of the novel; and (ii) the first 10 pages of the manuscript, double-spaced using Times New Roman, size 12 font.

In the event The Novel Fox would like to further pursue the submission, the full manuscript will be requested.
